Hey there, I’m Ryan Helsing. I create instrumental music characterized by rhythmic grooves and electronic soundscapes. I come from a programming background so I spend a lot of time letting the machine and randomness influence my states of flow.
I’m Inspired by Bonobo, Tycho, Maribou State, Ian Ewing, Birocratic and many more. Be sure to check out my playlists for many more inspiring artists.
In 2012, I released my first album titled ‘Dreams of Color’. Many of the melodies were born of guitar riffs I had been fiddling with for years. In College, I met Matthew Saltz in the CS program at the University of Georgia. We collaborated and released ‘Visions’ in 2014. Several songs from this album are frequently featured on NPR’s various programs and I am so thankful to the staff who found the music inspiring!
I am now finishing up my third 10 song project titled ‘Sacra Omnia’ (Everything is Sacred).
When I’m not working on music, I am working on my software startups! Ask me about them if you are curious! 🤓
